NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, CMC

JAMAICAN OLYMPIAN SPRINT queen Veronica Campbell is set to compete in this month's California Adidas Track Classic and the 2006 Reebok Grand Prix in New York next month.

Campbell, ranked no. 3 in the world by the IAAF in the 100 metres, will compete at the May 21 Adidas meet at the Home Depot Center on the campus of the State University of California.

She will then travel to New York for the Reebok Grand Prix on June 3.

Last month, Campbell won silver in the 200 metres at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

Last year, at the Adidas Track Classic, she easily won the 100 metres in 10.96 seconds.

Campbell's compatriot, Omar Brown, the 2006 Commonwealth Games 200-metres gold medalist, is also set to compete at the May 21 California event.

Campbell and Brown will also join fellow national Sheri-Ann Brooks for the Reebok Grand Pix at the Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island, New York.

Editor's note: All three athletes will compete in the Jamaica International Invitational meet at the National Stadium tomorrow.
