CHURCH HISTORY: The church started in the early 1960s with a small group of members in a 'trashy minnie' structure. It was located at Harris Street in the Clarendon capital before the land on which it is currently located at 57 Manchester Avenue was acquired. A permanent structure was constructed, but over time membership increased and so expansion had to take place. A number of changes have taken place on the inside of the building over the years, including the lifting of the roof and the construction of a balcony.
OUTREACH PROGRAMME:The church operates a clinic on the first Sunday of each month. It runs a Basic School which currently has an enrolment of 90 students. It has a feeding programme from which the Clarendon Association of Street People (CLASP) benefits from a weekly contribution. The church distributes food and clothing to the Infirmary in that town on a regular basis. Needy students from the church and the community are also given assistance for uniform, books, lunch money and school fees. The elderly also benefit from cash contributions on a weekly basis.
