Strikers to face Upliftment FC today

Anthony Minott - P'MORE PEARL!: Barbican's Yanique Goldspring (left) comes under pressure from Portmore Strikers' midfield princess Shereen 'Little Pearl' Clarke during a recent match between the two teams.

PORTMORE STRIKERS WILL take on parish-mates St Catherine Upliftment F.C. in the eleventh round of the Sherwin Williams sponsored JFF Women's Premier League at the Racing Playfield this afternoon, match time 3:30 p.m.

Portmore were held to an away 0-0 draw by knock-out champions Harbour View last Saturday, while St Catherine Upliftment went down 1-0 to Untouchable Strikers in their last match. However, the Sunshine City girls are back home and hungry for three points,.

The last time the two met the game ended 1-1.

Other encounters for today include leaders Barbican F.C. verses third place Harbour View, at the Barbican Complex, which is the feature match of the round.

Waterhouse entertains Brown's Town Dynamos at Drewsland and Olympic Gardens travel to Irwin to take on Untouchable Strikers.
