CHURCH HISTORY: The church came into existence in 1971 when the late Rev. Williams, along with other members of the Prospect Shiloh Apostolic Church in Manchester, was resettled in Northampton and Santa Cruz by the bauxite company Alpart. With no building to conduct worship in, Elder Williams used his car porch as the place of worship.
With the number of worshippers increasing after more persons resettled in Northampton and surrounding communities, a temporary building (which was given the nickname 'Zinc Up') was erected. In 1976, Elder Williams and the members of the church saw the need to construct a permanent building, thus the present building was constructed.
The Northampton Shiloh Apostolic is run by the Shiloh Apostolic Church of Jamaica Inc.
OUTREACH PROGRAMME: With the help of Government aid, the church runs a basic school which was formed by one of its current members, Blossom Carter. It currently employs two teachers and a cook and it accommodates approximately 40 students. The church also helps the needy in and out of the community with food and other items. The members from time to time also make visits to homes to pray for the sick and those who need spiritual assistance.
