PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC:
JAMAICANS ROEN NELSON and Wollery Wolfe made the scoring headlines for Joe Public as they whipped WASA Clean & White 3-0 Friday night to repeat as Trinidad and Tobago's Super League knockout champions.
Brazilian Leandro Moncao joined the Jamaican pair on the scoring list for Joe Public to run past Clean & White in the final at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.
Joe Public shot ahead after only three minutes when Moncao intercepted a pass and slotted home after dribbling forward for a one-on-one with the WASA goalkeeper.
Joe Public made it 2-0 midway the half when Nelson, last year's leading Super League scorer and player of the year, collected a cross by Moncao from the left, and placed a right-footed shot into the net.
Wolfe got his goal in the 88th minute when another Jamaican, Carlington Smith - on as substitute for Nelson - moved down the right side and crossed the ball into the centre.
Wolfe controlled swiftly and whipped a left-footer into the goal to seal the fine championship win, although coach Michael McComie felt the result could have more emphatic in their favour.
