A DOUBLE STRIKE by George Clarke led Black Lion of St. Catherine to a 3-2 victory over St. Elizabeth's Thornton in their Zone A top-of-the-table Super Plus-sponsored South Central Confed-eration Super League clash at Spanish Town Prison Oval on Saturday.
Shocker
Thornton suffered the shocker when Clarke struck twice in the last five minutes to give Black Lion (seven points) a well-deserved win, which gave them a two-point lead in Zone A.
Flavius Swell got the other goal for Black Lion, while Sebastian Campbell and Keino Smith scored for Thornton (four points), who remained on four points, but dropped to fourth in Zone A.
On Sunday, Arlington (six points) of St. Catherine upset early Zone B leaders Porus (four points) 2-0 at Spanish Town Prison Oval. Brenton Freckleton and Shannon Goldbourne scored for Arlington.
Other matches played on Saturday, Dunbeholden (three points) recorded their first win of the season, a 2-0 victory over Hillstars (one) at Dunbeholden and Humble Lion (five) of Clarendon defeated Black River (four) of St. Elizabeth 1-0 at York Town.

Meanwhile, St. Catherine's Central Link (six) defeated St. Elizabeth's Tafari Lions (three) 1-0 at Lacovia Community Centre, while Los Perfectos (four) of Manchester and Israel (five) of Clarendon played to a 0-0 tie.
