The copycat twins - Raheim and Jaheim
By LEIGHTON WILLIAMS, Staff Reporter The Morris Twins - Contributed ELEVEN-MONTH-OLD twins Raheim and Jaheim Morris are described by their parents, Tanesha Williams and Anthony Morris, as being copycats of each other. The twins, who live at One North in Greater Portmore, St. Catherine, justified their parents comments when THE WEEKEND STAR visited. "They behave the same way. Anything one does now, tomorrow you'll see the other one doing the same thing," said their father Anthony Morris. "Sometimes you see one doing something and as soon as he stops the other one starts to do it."
Active and alert
The twins are described by their parents as being very active and alert. However, whenever someone visits their home, one becomes shy while the other becomes more outgoing. "Right now Jaheim is the shy one and he is just sitting in my lap not saying or doing anything while Raheim is running around," said Tanesha as she held Jaheim. However, Jaheim's shyness did not last long as soon he was up and about while his brother occupied his mother's lap. A couple of minutes later, both were seen playing with each other as their parents spoke to THE WEEKEND STAR. Tanesha said Raheim was the older twin by a few minutes. However, he was shorter than Jaheim. She said the twins sometimes fought each other as Jaheim often attempts to bully his brother. Both Tanesha and Anthony describe the early days as being rough. They said it was rough especially at nights when the twins woke up crying. "One will wake up crying and you feed him. As you are about to fall asleep the other one wakes up crying as well," Tanesha said. Although they are identical twins and imitate each other at times, Tanesha said they were different in many respects. For instance, Raheim likes vegetables while his younger brother dislikes them. Tanesha points out that when she learnt that she was pregnant with twins she was not surprised. She adds that while no one in her family had twins, Anthony's cousins had twins. While she wanted a boy and a girl she was not disappointed that both were boys. She adds that Anthony adores the boys and usually takes them out whenever the chance presents itself. "Sometimes when I take them out people ask me if they are twins or if they are identical," Anthony added. Tanesha said she sometimes dressed the boys alike but there are times when she tries to ensure that they dress differently. "It's not all the while I can bother with them dressing alike. However, I sometimes do when I feel like it," she said.
